Life Changing Support from Friends of Fitness

Our charity ’Friends of Fitness’ has supported 2 young ladies over the past 12 months and the results have been amazing.

Sarah stopped boxing in 2010 after a successful amateur career, but after being nominated and training at Fitness4less she has lost 5 stone and has re-gained her confidence and turned professional.

Her weight loss has been incredible as these pictures show.

Sarah is now WBU English Champion after boxing at the world famous York Hall, Bethnal Green on Saturday 25th June against Jane Johnson. Sarah stopped Johnson within the first 1 min and 57 seconds of round 1.

Sarah says "Fitness4Less is fantastic and I am so grateful for the opportunity to train in such great facilities. I was so depressed and desperately wanted to get back into boxing, being nominated gave me a kick start and after training for a year at Fitness4Less my fitness and strength has improved dramatically and without a doubt has helped my boxing career - so thank you."

Friends of Fitness are delighted to announce that Sarah’s sponorship will continue for a further 12 months, where she hopes to fight for a world title before the end of the year.

We have also supported Sacha who having been fairly active was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome 4 years ago and her health and fitness began to really suffer.

She has worked with one of our personal trainers Sarah and has really enjoyed the opportunity provided by ’Friends of Fitness’ to get fit and healthy once again.

Sacha writes " I found the first few weeks very tough but that was due to not having done any form of exercise for many years. I stuck with it and started to enjoy the challenge but I had a couple of health issues later on in the year that hindered me from reaching my full potential.

In total I lost 13lb in weight which made me feel good about myself but unfortunately due to my health condition I did pick up some injuries and as a result have put some of the weight back, although not through lack of exercise as I still continued light training. It was my own fault I gained weight because i was not eating nutritional healthy food that I had been as I tend to comfort eat.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and feel much fitter than I did. I urge anyone contemplating applying to do so, as it is life changing. My family also noticed the change in me and have encouraged me to stay at the gym so i can continue by fitness journey"

Well done Sacha you have done fantastically well over this past year.
