The countdown is almost over. On Saturday 27th June, fitness lovers from across our network will come together for the big day. This year, Fitness4Less Cambridge Heath is proudly hosting the competition. If you are competing, you need to know what to expect. As such, we spoke to Eleni, Assistant Manager at Fitness4Less Cambridge Heath, to find out everything competitors need to know ahead of the big day. You can then arrive feeling confident and ready to compete.
Cambridge Heath is the ideal venue for this year's Inter-Club Challenge. Eleni is looking forward to welcoming competitors from across the network. She said: "We're really excited to host this year's Inter-Club Challenge at Cambridge Heath. The club has a fantastic community atmosphere, and we can't wait to see members come together for a great day of competition."
Furthermore, the club has a fantastic community spirit that is truly hard to beat. As well as that, the club has spacious training areas and excellent functional fitness equipment. Hence, it provides the ideal stage for our athletes.
Get ready to showcase your club pride during an unforgettable day of teamwork and high-energy competition! Additionally, the club's open plan layout makes it easy for athletes and supporters to stay close to the action throughout the event.
Bringing Your Supporters and Team Cheer
You do not have to travel alone to the event. Without a doubt, bringing supporters can make the experience even more enjoyable. The main workouts will take place inside the spacious studio. In addition, we will have an amazing over-spill zone into the outdoor area. Eleni explained: "The studio opens directly onto our outdoor space, so there will be plenty of room for competitors and supporters to enjoy the event together. We're expecting a great atmosphere throughout the day." Your guests do not need a special ticket to attend. Instead, they can simply sign in for a free Day Pass at reception when they arrive. Having a loud crowd will bring a great atmosphere to help you push through your tough efforts.
How to Get to Cambridge Heath Safely
Planning your journey early is a smart way to stay calm before the competition. For this reason, we recommend deciding on your travel route well in advance. Please note that there is no parking available at the club. With this in mind, we highly recommend using public transport to get to the venue safely.
Fortunately, the gym has excellent transport links. Take the Central Line to Bethnal Green station. The club is only an eight-minute walk away. Alternatively, you can take the overground train to Cambridge Heath Station. You can take the Weaver line from Liverpool Street towards Cheshunt and get off at Cambridge Heath. From there, it is a tiny ten-second walk from the station to the gym doors.
Your Post-Workout Recovery and Club Rules
When you are packing your gym bag, you do not need to worry about special equipment rules. The usual gym rules and standard footwear requirements apply on the day. Just wear your favourite clean training shoes and comfortable athletic clothing. In other words, there are no special equipment requirements for competitors.
Furthermore, recovery will be simple after the event. According to Eleni: "We want everyone to enjoy the experience from start to finish. Once you've completed your workouts, you'll be able to make full use of the changing rooms, showers and sauna facilities to recover before heading home." This means you can wash away the sweat after your workout. You can also relax tired muscles before heading home. Meanwhile, if you want to brush up on your exercise technique before Saturday, make sure to read our recent Inter-Club Challenge Form Guide.
Fuel and Friendly Faces on the Gym Floor
Staying energised is key when you are pushing your physical limits. Therefore, it is important to have a nutrition plan in place before the event. We will provide plenty of gym chalk, water, and snacks on the day. This will help keep you fuelled throughout the event. However, participants are also very welcome to bring their own favourite nutrition and sports drinks if they prefer. This way, you can stick to the nutrition strategy that works best for you.
If you feel nervous, look out for the local fitness team. They will be happy to help. Moreover, our expert personal trainers will be on the gym floor throughout the day. They can help with form checks and answer any questions. Better still, they can answer any questions you may have throughout the event. Be sure to say hello to Aaron, Mikey, Kemisha, Roger, and Nimz. They will be around all day to offer help and motivation!
Train Smart and Bring the Trophy Home
Preparing your body and mind for Saturday is the best way to guarantee success. Learn the venue setup before the event. Then you can focus entirely on your performance. Let us train hard, support our teammates, and get ready to crown our 2026 champions. Most importantly, remember to enjoy the day and celebrate everyone's achievements.
