Busy Mums : The Best Time-Saving Workouts

Busy Mums : The Best Time-Saving Workouts

Being a mum is a full time job and we know how hard it can be to find the time to work out with all the endless responsibilities you have on your plate. Between work, running errands, chasing after the kids, and trying to keep the house in order, it's easy to put exercise on the backburner. But let's face it, we all want to feel good and stay healthy, so we need to find a way to squeeze in some sweat sessions. Here are our favourite time saving workouts, perfect for busy mums:

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
High-intensity interval training, or HIIT for short, is a total game-changer for busy moms who don't have hours to spend on a workout. HIIT workouts involve quick bursts of intense exercise followed by brief periods of rest. They are also highly effective, as they can help you burn calories and improve cardiovascular fitness in a short amount of time. A bonus, is that they're usually only 20-30 minutes long, so you can easily squeeze them into your busy schedule or pop in for one of our classes at the gym.

Bodyweight Workouts
These are perfect for those days when you can't make it to the gym or don't have any equipment at home. You can do these workouts anywhere, anytime, using just your own body weight as resistance. Think squats, lunges, push-ups, and planks – all great exercises that will help you build strength and burn calories.

Circuit Training
This workout involves performing a series of exercises in a specific order, with little to no rest in between. You can do this with weights or stick to bodyweight exercises. Not only does it help build strength and cardio fitness, but it's also versatile enough to be done at home or at the gym.

Yoga
Yoga is a low-impact workout that can help improve flexibility, balance, and strength. Many yoga classes are 45-60 minutes long, but even 15-20 minute sessions can provide benefits. Additionally, yoga can be done at home with just a mat and some space, making it a convenient option for moms who dont have much time to spare.

Running or Walking
Running or walking is a great way to fit in some exercise while also getting fresh air and time outside. Even just 10-15 minutes of running or walking can provide health benefits. If you have a baby or young child, consider using a jogging pram to take them along with you.

Fitting exercise into your schedule can be difficult, but with these quick and effective workouts, you are bound to get moving whether you make it to the gym for one of our classes or try to squeeze a session in at home.
