Saunas and Steam Rooms - What We're Doing To Keep You Safe

The UK government recently announced that saunas and steam rooms are now back in action! Our saunas and steam room facilities are incredibly important to us and we’d love to give everyone the chance to benefit from them like they used to.

However, we’re equally focused on making sure every safety measure available is implemented to keep members comfortable and safe at all times.

As a result, we’re opening our sauna and steam room facilities in clubs with adequate space based on government guidelines. These clubs currently include Worcester, Canning Town, and Cambridge Heath.

Sauna and Steam Room Safety Regulations:

The following UK government safety regulations are now being implemented:

  • Maximum capacity of 50%. This means that if a sauna or steam room has a normal capacity of 4 people, only 2 people will now be allowed to enter at a time.
  • Members are given fixed and staggered 15-minute time slots. You will need to book a slot at reception to be able to enter the sauna and steam room. No walk-ins allowed. Members who have booked a slot may leave and re-enter at any time during their session but the sauna/steam room must be vacated by everyone at the end of the slot.
  • We are increasing airflow and air changes where technically possible.
  • 2m social distancing at all times.
  • Regular sanitising and cleaning of the equipment.
  • Sanitising and cleaning of the facilities at the beginning and end of each day.
  • Saunas and steam rooms will be closed between 2 and 4 pm for additional cleaning.

With the above regulations, we hope to maintain a compliant and safe space for our members to relax and unwind after a heavy workout or long day. With that said, we require every member wishing to use the saunas and steam rooms to become familiar with our Member Code of Conduct to keep yourself and everyone around you as safe as possible – it’s a team effort!

We look forward to seeing you back at our clubs soon.
