Hi and welcome to Avidity Personal Training. My name is Tim Smith, and I am a personal trainer at Fitness4Less Worcester. I strive to assist my clients in reaching their full potential, whatever their personal health and fitness aspirations may be.

My British Credited Qualifications include: -

Level 3 Personal Training Certification
2+ years of experience in Health and Fitness within a Gym environment
8+ years of Competitive Sporting Experience

There is no doubt that I understand what it takes to develop a strict, determined and hungry attitude towards achieving your health and fitness goals. With my personal experience in transforming my own physique, mindset and most importantly, my lifestyle, in order to reach my personal aspirations, I can guarantee that I can relate to my clients' aims and goals.

A turning point in my fitness/lifestyle transformation was after I tore the meniscus cartilage in my right knee. I was facing 8 - 12 weeks of recovery before even thinking of taking part in any physical activity. After a long period of regular physiotherapy, I took it upon myself to research exercise recovery. I persisted with weightless exercise for my knee (cycling/swimming). This greatly speeded up the healing process and I was soon able to participate in competitive sport once again - mainly cricket and football.

Fast forward a couple of years, and I had put on a lot of weight. This was due to overeating and generally not making healthy choices. I found it was very easy to pretty much eat whatever I wanted to my heart's content. Despite being 6 ft 3”, at 102kg (a shy over 16 stone), I was heavy, lethargic and in danger of putting my health at risk if I didn’t make a change.

I decided to use my previous knowledge to shift some unwanted weight. This included weight training and lots of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Coupled with an improved, consistent diet, within a period of 10 weeks, I had dropped over 15kg. I was finally feeling better about my body and most importantly, my health! With much more research and after achieving my Level 3 Personal Training Certification, I have continued to develop and improve my own health and fitness.

I am so excited to start work with my transformation client, Lisa. We will work extremely hard, but make sure we have lots of fun along the way!
