Bored With the Same Old Same Old.... Try This Treadmill Workout

If all you ever do is run or walk at the same speed for 10 minutes on a treadmill, then watch this 2 minute video for a challenging and varied routine.

Treadmills give a great cardiovascular workout and help improve heart health. However, they can be quite tedious. We have asked our Manager, Tom, at Watford to come up with a bit of a challenge for you in terms of making a treadmill workout both more fun and more effective. By using different speeds, inclines and styles of running and walking, this routine will challenge different muscles in your body. You will find that by working in short sections and timed slots, you will keep your mind active and boredom definitely won't set in!



Remember!

Before beginning any new exercise programme or changing your physical activity patterns, you should always consult with your doctor, particularly if you have been inactive, are very overweight, or have or suspect you have any sort of medical condition that might be worsened by exercise. Take care on the treadmill, make yourself aware of the emergency stop button and how to use it, as well as the speed control. Always ask a member of staff if you are unsure.
